When a storm takes down the grid, the last thing you want is a backup power system that announces itself to the whole neighborhood. The EMEAN EM-Y28 is a quiet, purpose-built diesel generator house solution designed to protect your home without creating a nuisance. Rated at 25kVA / 20kW prime and 28kVA / 22kW standby, this unit pairs a proven four-cylinder Yangdong engine with a sound-attenuated enclosure, delivering reliable emergency power that respects your neighborhood.

At its core is the Yangdong Y495D—a vertical, four-cylinder, four-stroke, water-cooled diesel engine with direct injection. With 2.977L displacement, a 95mm bore, 105mm stroke, and an 18:1 compression ratio, this naturally aspirated engine is built for durability. It produces 26kW prime and 28.6kW standby, with net outputs of 24.2kW and 26.6kW after cooling fan consumption—ample reserve for a 20kW generator set. The engine‘s compact footprint (716 × 530 × 670 mm) and 240kg dry weight make it practical for residential installations where a dedicated diesel generator house or equipment pad is used.

Built to Withstand the Elements

Durability is non-negotiable for a diesel generator house installation. The Y495D holds 8L of CD 15W-40 oil and 5L of coolant, with a 72°C thermostat and radiator heat dissipation of 19.5kW at 1500 RPM. The coolant pump flows ≥9.98 m³/h, maintaining stable temperatures under load. Low oil pressure warning activates at 100 kPa, with shutdown at 80 kPa to protect the engine. Oil consumption is minimal at just 0.72% of fuel consumption.

For cold-weather reliability, the engine supports 12V starting with a 3.5kW starter motor and a minimum 120Ah battery. Unaided cold starts are possible down to -10°C, with optional jacket heater and oil heater available for extreme conditions—ensuring your diesel generator house starts when you need it most.

Performance You Can Count On

All performance data for this diesel generator house solution is certified in accordance with ISO3046 and ISO8528 standards. The engine maintains full rated output without derating up to 40°C ambient temperature and 1500 meters altitude. The generator is available with single-phase or three-phase output (110V–660V) and can be customized with alternator brands including Stamford, Leroy-Somer, or Marathon. The digital controller (Smartgen or Deep Sea) provides comprehensive monitoring with automatic protection including low oil pressure shutdown, high coolant temperature shutdown, over-speed protection, and over-current protection via MCCB air circuit breaker.
